I have a lifetime of reaching in – and reaching out to find creative notions that move toward a successful campaign. Here are the five ways I juice it up:
1. Observe
This is the easiest – stopping long enough to look around and let things enter your consciousness. The colors, textures, photos and music.
2. Write
Start writing down adjectives that relate to the subject matter – a thesaurus is a great tool to get those adjectives flowing.
3. Research
You can call it research, but you will really be surfing the net. Everything is at our fingertips for quick inspiration. Don’t forget to look for inspiring quotes – they can be switch flippers and creativity will abound.
4. Share
Talk with co-workers about your project. Let them help inspire you.
5. Eat chocolate
Have a quiet cup of coffee. Listen to classical music, rap or hip hop – whatever you do not normally listen to and let them influence your moment.
